Rishi Sunak had a telephone conversation with Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday. The British Prime Minister announced that more anti-aircraft guns and short-range air defense missiles would arrive in Ukraine. Downing Street stressed in a statement that the Kremlin must meet certain conditions before starting talks on a ceasefire.
As reported in a communiqué issued by Downing Street, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in a telephone conversation, they discussed a new wave of Russian attacks on critical infrastructure Ukraine.
President Zelensky thanked the UK for its vital support in restoring power by supplying generators.
Before the deal, ‘Kremlin must withdraw its forces’
It added that Sunak commended the Ukrainian armed forces for intercepting dozens of potentially devastating missiles this week, and said that more British donated anti-aircraft guns and more short-range air defense missiles would arrive in Ukraine in the coming weeks.
