The incident took place on Friday, September 8, at Witton Castle Country Park in County Durham, England. During a routine morning round, local farmers noticed a bull trapped in a sinkhole. Not knowing whether the animal was still alive, they wrapped tapes around its hind legs and pulled it out of the sinkhole using a tractor. The park staff helped the farmers.
