The 24-year-old wanted in the case of two homicides reported to the police headquarters in Międzychód on Thursday evening, reported Iwona Liszczyńska from the press office of the Greater Poland Police. The man had been wanted since Wednesday.

The 24-year-old was arrested and will be brought to the prosecutor’s office in Poznań in the near future.

On Wednesday, while putting out a fire in an apartment in Muchocin, firefighters found the body of a 22-year-old man. The injuries on the body indicated that the man had been killed. The perpetrator probably set fire to the apartment to cover his tracks. According to the officers, the 24-year-old took the car belonging to the victim and fled the scene.

According to investigators, the same man would later kill a 45-year-old woman in her apartment in Międzychód. After both murders, the 24-year-old abandoned the stolen car near Międzychód and ran into the forest.
