Grębynice near Krakow. Explosion in the firehouse. Among wounded children

A glass container broke out in the fire station in Grębynice near Krakow. Seven children and one adult were injured. Everyone was hospitalized.

– The incident occurred after 7pm. During the exercises of youth fire teams, a glass container exploded – said on TVN24 young Capt. Hubert warm, spokesman for the Lesser Poland fire brigade.

– Seven children aged eight to ten years and one adult were injured. All people were wounded by glass shards – added the fireman.

Earlier, the guard informed about five wounded children.

On -site were the Air Ambulance Teams and paramedics. All injured were taken to hospitals. – Good information is such that these people were conscious, in a non -life state – said young Capt. Warm.

About 30 firefighters, police and other services worked on the spot.

In the statement of the Lesser Poland voivode, it was reported that “the glass tank was pumped with air to present how much it would hold, but exploded.”
