In Zielony Lasek (Warmia-Masuria Province), a boat sailing through a canal hit something underwater. It turned out to be a car. There was a body inside. Emergency services are on the scene.
It all started when the Masurian Volunteer Search and Rescue Service received a report that in the town of Zielony Lasek on the Grunwaldzki Canal, a houseboat (a large boat called a “house on the water”) was passing by and had caught on some obstacle in the water.
– When the diver from MOPR went underwater, he saw a passenger car with a body inside. It's probably a man – says Senior Sergeant Iwona Chruścińska from the District Police Headquarters in Giżycko.

The officers, under the supervision of the prosecutor, are determining how the car ended up in the water.
– The services are on site. Firefighters are ready to take action to pull the vehicle to the shore – says Junior Brig. Grzegorz Zubowicz from the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Giżycko.
