Police officers from Zielona Góra noticed a Ferrari driver who was driving faster in a built-up area than allowed by law. Moreover, he overtook another car at a pedestrian crossing. The driver was threatened with a high fine and a significant number of penalty points, but he decided not to accept the fine. The case will now be dealt with in court.
The incident took place on Wednesday (October 18). It was then that the road traffic patrol on Wojska Polskiego Street in Zielona Góra stopped the Ferrari driver. According to the police, he was overtaking another vehicle at a pedestrian crossing. “In addition, he was driving at a speed of 75 kilometers per hour in a place where the speed limit was 50,” the police report in a statement.

The driver did not accept the ticket. Therefore, the police submitted a request to the court to punish him. As they remind us, “for overtaking at a pedestrian crossing, the fine is PLN 1,500 and the driver receives 15 penalty points. Exceeding the speed limit in a built-up area by 25 kilometers per hour is five points and PLN 300.”
“Overtaking at a pedestrian crossing is one of the most serious road offenses. The driver of a car poses a real threat to the life and health of pedestrians, who will suffer serious injuries if hit by a car,” emphasize the police from Zielona Góra.
