In Grodzisk Mazowiecki, a train of the Warsaw Commuter Railway fatally hit a man. The services are conducting activities and the circumstances of the incident are being determined. Both tracks on the Grodzisk Mazowiecki Radońska – Podkowa Leśna Główna route have been closed to train traffic.
The tragedy occurred between the Jordanowice and Piaskowa stations. At 4:04 p.m., the fire brigade received a report about a person who had fallen under a WKD train near Miła Street. Three fire brigades were dispatched to the site.
– After arriving, a police patrol and a medical rescue team were already present at the scene. Our activities consisted of securing and lighting the place of operations. The rescuers carried out their activities. Train traffic in both directions is completely blocked – informed about 4.30 p.m. Krzysztof Stefaniak from the fire brigade in Grodzisk Mazowiecki.

Difficulties in train running
Information about the incident was also provided by the Warsaw Commuter Railway. “Due to a fatal hit on the section of the track between the Grodzisk Mazowiecki Jordanowice and Grodzisk Mazowiecki Piaskowa stops and the closure of both tracks on the Grodzisk Mazowiecki Radońska – Podkowa Leśna Główna route to train traffic. A replacement bus service was launched around 5:20 p.m.,” the release said. WKD.
The bus runs between Grodzisk Mazowiecki Radońska and Podkowa Leśna Główna stations, passing, among others, via the stops Grodzisk Mazowiecki Jordanowice, Grodzisk Mazowiecki Piaskowa, Kazimierówka. “The remaining stops are served in the immediate area depending on the availability of road infrastructure,” it was added.
The police and prosecutor are working at the scene of the incident until further notice.
