The 7.5 km ring road of Grodzisk Mazowiecki is almost ready for use. The investment is just waiting for the inspection of the Provincial Building Supervision Inspector and the issuance of an occupancy permit. The date of the ceremonial opening of the road was also indicated.
Information about the upcoming opening of this long-awaited investment by the residents of Grodzisk Mazowiecki was provided by the local town hall. The announcement shows that it will take place on February 4, 2023 at 14:00 between the intersections of Kraśnicza Wola and Chlebnia.
“Acceptance work in progress”
– Acceptance work is currently underway. We are waiting for the inspection from the Provincial Building Supervision Inspector. Then, WINB has time to issue an occupancy permit – Monika Burdon, spokeswoman for the Mazowieckie Voivodeship Roads Authority, told us. She added that there is no set date for the inspection yet. – We are doing our best to obtain permission to use this road as soon as possible – stressed Burdon.
The contract with the contractor – Strabag was signed in August 2020. As part of the investment, almost 7.5 km of the bypass section was built along the voivodeship road 579, from the “Grodzisk” motorway junction to the voivodship road number 579 in Kałęczyn. The road consists of one carriageway, one lane in each direction. The bypass was marked out on the outskirts of the city through agricultural land and closed brickyard excavations. Three viaducts were built: over a dirt road near the motorway junction, over railway tracks and over the Mrowna River. Five intersections with local roads were also reconstructed.
As reported by the Marshal’s Office of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, the value of the entire project is over PLN 152 million. The project received PLN 119.6 million from EU funds under the Regional Operational Program for the Mazowieckie Voivodeship for the years 2014–2020. The co-financing from the state budget amounts to PLN 17.5 million.
“A historic event”
After opening, the 7.5-kilometer bypass will relieve the center of Grodzisk Mazowiecki, taking over the traffic coming from the A2 motorway.
According to the City Hall of Grodzisk, attractions for residents are planned for February 4. In the evening, Enej and Viki Gabor will perform in the sports and entertainment hall at Sportowa Street. “First of all, the bypass will be officially opened with the ribbon cutting together with the residents. One of the most important road investments in Grodzisk Mazowiecki requires a great event, which is why we will try to break the Polish Record in cutting the ribbon and holding it. over 1,655 people, so we are counting on the presence of our residents and involvement in this historic event” – the office encourages in a communiqué.
