Further layoffs: The Stoll Polska plant in Słupsk will be closed. The company informed about this the employees who will be affected by the group layoffs process. 67 production employees and 23 administration employees will lose their jobs. A total of 90 people. The plants in Słupsk produced parts for agricultural machines and front loaders. The District Labor Office in Słupsk was informed about this on December 9.

Employees in shock: – How can you treat people like this?! From one day to the next, without any notice, they send us to the streets. What will we live on? – says one of the angry employees in an interview with local media. – Nobody expected this. We talked to the owner about two or three months ago. He assured us that the Stoll Polska company would not be liquidated – says Bartosz Marczewski, deputy head of the Solidarity trade union, in an interview with Radio Gdańsk.

The company explains: In a statement sent to the media, Stoll Polska assured that it is not insolvent and “all employees can be sure that their severance pay and other benefits will be paid in accordance with the law.” Special programs will also be prepared to offer them career counseling, training and assistance in looking for new jobs. “It was difficult, but necessary a move aimed at responsible management of the situation and adapting to changing market realities,” the company said.
