Other reasons for this situation, mentioned by trade unionists, include the pandemic, the outbreak of war in Ukraine and factors “that the state Polish has or should have an impact”. These include “uncontrolled import of Russian fertilizers, which (…) are re-exported to Ukraine” and import of plastics not burdened with climate costs. “The above factors are currently the main causes of our tragic economic situation. In a letter addressed to the management board of Grupa Azoty PuÅ‚awy Trade union organizations expressed reservations as to the justification for terminating the Company Collective Agreement Work (ZUZP) of 22 March 2006. In their opinion, the intention to terminate the ZUZP is “directly inconsistent” with the social contract concluded in September 2014 between the Grupa Azoty company in TarnówZakÅ‚ady Azotowe PuÅ‚awy, and company trade union organizations.
Grupa Azoty Puławy announced its intention to terminate the Collective Labor Agreement
The Management Board of Grupa Azoty Puławy notified the trade unions on August 29 of its intention to terminate the Collective Labour Agreement. The Company Collective Labour Agreement will be terminated upon the expiry of the three-month notice period. The Management Board indicated that the procedure will be carried out if the trade unions submit their objections within seven days of notification of the intention to terminate.
In the first half of 2024, Grupa Azoty recorded a net loss of PLN 748 million (compared to a loss of approximately PLN 1.1 billion in the first half of 2023). The Group generated consolidated sales revenues of approximately PLN 6.74 billion.
