Due to the situation in Israel, LOT Polish Airlines, Wizz Air and Enter Air are canceling their flights on the Warsaw-Tel Aviv route – the press office of the capital airport informed the Polish Press Agency. LOT informs that flights on this route may be delayed or canceled in the coming days.
“Today, one LOT Polish Airlines flight and one Wizz Air flight from Warsaw to Tel Aviv were canceled. Another LOT flight and one Enter Aira flight are canceled,” the Chopin Airport press office told PAP on Sunday.
As added, two LOT and one Wizz Air flights have been canceled on arrival to Warsaw.

Canceled flights
PLL LOT spokesman Krzysztof Moczulski informed on Saturday evening on the X platform, formerly Twitter, that due to the threat to air traffic, the carrier is canceling flights with numbers: LO 153/156, LO 155/LO160 on Sunday, October 8. These are flights from Warsaw at 6 a.m. and 2 p.m., as well as return flights.
The national carrier announced that “due to the threat to air traffic, LOT Polish Airlines flights from Tel Aviv may be delayed or canceled in the coming days.”
The company asks its passengers currently in Israel to provide it with their contact details at: tel. +97237217931, WhatsApp or email: tlv@lot.pl. “Thanks to this, we will be able to keep you informed about any changes regarding your flights,” LOT informed.
The carrier also asks travelers to verify the flight status on the website or by contacting LOT before going to the airport. “We would also like to inform you that work is underway on alternative ways of returning Polish citizens from Israel should the current situation continue,” the company said.
Hungarian Wizz Air also announced on Saturday evening that due to the situation in Israel, it was canceling flights to and from Tel Aviv scheduled for Sunday, October 8, 2023.
Hamas attack on Israel
On Saturday, approx. At 6.30 local time (5.30 in Poland) the Hamas attack on Israel began. Fighters have infiltrated many cities in the south of the country. Israel was also attacked with thousands of rockets.
The Israeli army reported on Sunday morning that clashes with Hamas fighters in southern Israel were ongoing in eight places. The armed wing of Hamas, the al-Qassam Brigade, also reported “fierce fighting”.
