For the fight between Tomasz Adamek and Kasjusz “Don Kasj” Życiński all fans of Polish freak fights were waiting for it. Życiński repeatedly attacked the former professional world boxing champion, called him an alcoholic, until he finally managed to face him at the FAME 22 gala at the National Stadium in Warsaw. Many fans of Życiński could feel disappointed, however. All because of what he presented in the cage. The 32-year-old decided to sharply criticize even… Marcin Gortat.
Marcin Gortat massacred “Don Kasjo”. He saw the fight with Adamek and blurted out: “Embarrassing”
“Don Kasjo” approached the fight ultra-defensively. He rarely let his guard down and Adamek consistently scored. He himself landed few punches, and when he did, they were definitely weaker than his rival. The only thing he could be praised for was that he lasted the full distance of four rounds and never once let himself be knocked down. The judges ruled Adamek a unanimous victory. Gortat, however, did not like this attitude of “Don Kasjo” at all.
The former basketball player couldn't take it anymore and decided to comment on the fight on platform X. “Don Kasjo… from today with nik Don Obsraniec! Bandura showed heart! He showed some boxing and courage. Embarrassing,” he wrote.
“Don Kasjo” survived four rounds. Gortat mocks: “Brilliant tactics”
Gortat referred to Adamek's first fight in the Fame MMA federation in this way. In May, he also defeated Patryk “Bandura” Bandurski by unanimous decision. The latter, in turn, was clearly weaker, but did not avoid open confrontation. However, there were also those who justified the behavior of “Don Kasjo”. “Marcinek, it is quite possible that he had something like a 'duel tactic', so I do not understand your indignation,” wrote one of the Internet users in a comment. “A brilliant tactic. Do not return blows and defend yourself for 4 rounds. Raising your hand after each round that he won,” retorted the former NBA player.
The gesture of raising hands apparently also irritated Tomasz Adamek's supervisor, Mateusz Borek. After the fight, the well-known commentator engaged in a heated exchange of words with Życiński, during which many obscene words were used.
