A 35-year-old Brazilian citizen who stalked Harry Styles has been sentenced to 14 weeks in prison. He is also banned from participating in events involving the British singer. The woman sent eight thousand cards to the star in less than a month.

Myra Carvalho, 35, was sentenced to 14 weeks in prison after pleading guilty to a stalking charge on Tuesday. The court, according to the BBC, also imposed a 10-year ban on approaching the singer. The woman is also prohibited from attending any event where Styles will be performing or entering the northwest London area.

She sent the singer eight thousand cards

As described by the BBC, during her stay in Great Britain, Carvalho sent the 30-year-old singer handwritten letters and also ordered a series of cards for him online, which were sent to his address. In less than a month, the woman sent Styles eight thousand cards. According to prosecutors, they included wedding cards, and two letters were delivered personally to the singer's address.
