I understand that now the prosecutor from Kielce will have no problem finding Mała Emi. I don’t think there is a more publicly known person who participated in this procedure than Mrs. Emilia Szmydt – said TVN24 reporter “Superwizjer” TVN Grzegorz Głuszak. He commented on the decision of the Katowice court, which ordered the prosecutor’s office to return to the hate scandal. The notification was submitted by a Krakow judge, Waldemar Żurek, but the prosecutor’s office discontinued the proceedings.

Even before the so-called hate scandal was revealed in the media in August 2019, Judge Waldemar Żurek, one of the victims, filed a notification to the prosecutor’s office. The “hater group” was followed on Twitter. As he said, Little Emi “was one of those people that I originally, before the scandal broke out, indicated as the nickname that hated me.”

Żurek reported in an interview with TVN24 that after Mała Emi, or Emilia Szmydt, revealed herself, described the practice of slandering judges, and her attorney sent a procedural apology to the judge, the prosecutor discontinued the proceedings, “writing in the justification that he does not know who is Little Emma.

A Krakow judge appealed against the decision of the Kielce prosecutor’s office. On Monday, the Katowice-Wschód District Court revoked it and ordered the prosecutor’s office to re-investigate the proceedings.

Głuszak: it was enough to enter Mała Emi into the Internet

The case was commented on Tuesday by Grzegorz Głuszak, a reporter for “Superwizjer” TVN, the author of the reportage “Confession of Little Emi. Backstage of the Hate Affair”, which was broadcast in September last year. Emilia Szmydt, the former wife of judge Tomasz Szmydt, decided for the first time to tell the camera about her role in the scandal. She also said she had not been questioned on the matter.

Głuszak reported that “he had no problem reaching Emilia Szmydt”. – I met her in Poland, I met her in the UK, so it is incomprehensible to me, especially since it was enough at that stage, when the prosecutor’s office launched an investigation, to enter Mała Emi on the Internet and Emilia’s name immediately appeared Smith, he added.

– I will say this half jokingly, half seriously, but I do not know, maybe the prosecutor who conducted this case has never used the Internet in his life – he said.

Głuszak: the prosecutor’s office has not questioned Emilia Szmydt so far

Głuszak said that he spoke with Emilia Szmydt on Monday. The woman said that she has not yet been questioned by the prosecutor’s office.

When asked if she reported herself to the prosecutor’s office, he said that “her attorney made a statement that Mrs. Emilia Szmydt was ready to testify before the prosecutor’s office at any time.”

The reporter of “Superwizjer” pointed out that the Kielce case is a splinter of the hate scandal. – The main thread of this case, however, is conducted by the Świdnica prosecutor’s office, which has not questioned Emilia to this day. Why? I have no idea, he said.

Głuszak: The independent court seems to have done what it had to

Referring to the decision of the Katowice district court, he said that he did not know the justification yet. – I understand that the court has issued some guidelines on what the prosecutor’s office should do in this case in order to resume it – he added.

– I understand that now the prosecutor from Kielce will have no problem finding Mała Emi. I don’t think there is a more publicly known person who participated in this procedure than Emilia Szmydt, assessed Głuszak.

– If the prosecutor’s office has a problem with establishing contact, I will provide the address to her attorney, I will provide her attorney’s mobile phone number. I don’t think there should be any problems,” he said.

In his opinion, “an independent court seems to have done what it had to do.” “I guess there was no other choice,” he concluded.

“The Hater Affair”

The case of the so-called hate scandal in August 2019 was described by Onet journalists. They then reported that a closed group called “Kasta” was to be created on WhatsApp, which exchanged ideas for slandering judges. The then Deputy Minister of Justice, Łukasz Piebiak, who participated in it, allegedly maintained contact on social media with a woman named Emilia, who was supposed to conduct actions discrediting some judges who opposed the changes introduced by the government PIS. This was to be done with Piebiak’s knowledge.

When he resigned from his function in the ministry, he denied that he had any connection with these activities. He announced that he would defend his good name.

Arkadiusz Cichocki, judge of the District Court in Gliwice and former president of this court, granted by the Minister of Justice and the Prosecutor General Zbigniew Ziobroin January last year, in an interview with the reporter of “Black and white” Marta Gordziewicz shed new light on the “hate scandal”.

Soon another judge, Tomasz Szmydt, also broke the silence. In the reportage “Kasta steadfast” he told Marta Gordziewicz how the mechanism of collecting hooks on judges who offended the current authorities looked like.

Both interlocutors of Marta Gordziewicz confirmed that ideas, decisions and orders were transmitted via instant messengers in a wider group called “Kasta” aka. “Anticaste”, or narrower, called “Unbroken”.
