The police detained a drunk driver of a Ford who destroyed six cars parked at one of the shopping malls in Oława (Lower Silesian Voivodeship). It turned out that the man had 2.2 per mille of alcohol in his body and he had no driving license.
The incident occurred on Saturday around 4:30 p.m. in the parking lot of one of the shopping malls in Oława.
“A completely drunk 40-year-old man damaged six parked cars. As it turned out, the man did not have a driving license and the vehicle he caused the damage did not belong to him,” says Asp. pcs. Wioletta Polerowicz from the Oława police.
He staggered out of the car
Witnesses to the incident heard a huge bang and saw the Ford driver staggering out of the car after destroying several vehicles. They immediately notified the police. A breathalyzer test showed that the man had 2.2 per mille of alcohol in his body.
The police found that the driver did not have a driving license. Additionally, the car he caused the damage in belonged to his friend. Fortunately, there were no damaged vehicles in or near them at the time of the incident.
Now the man will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, without a license and causing a road accident. He faces a penalty of up to 3 years in prison.
