Windmills closer to the building: The amendment introduces It is possible to build windmills at a distance of 500 m from buildings. – For the windmill to be built, there must always be a spatial development plan and consent of the commune council – assured Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak -Kamysz.
End of 10h: Currently, the minimum distance of the windmill from buildings is 700 meters. This is due to the liberalization of the 10h from 2023 principle. The amendment provides for the complete abolition of the rule, which blocked the development of wind farms in Poland for years. According to it, until 2023 there was a ban on construction windmills at a distance of less than 10 times their height along with a rotor from residential buildings, therefore on over 99 percent. Polish areas could not be erected.
What else does the act introduce? The deputy prime minister also explained that the act has specific distances from national parks – it is 1500 meters – military units, airports and national roads. The project also specifies the conditions for the development of biogas plants, which are to give the possibility of direct supply of enterprises from their own network. Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said that the solutions are to increase the possibilities of using various sources of cheaper and ecological energy.
