It was an unusual intervention. A resident of the Pomeranian province informed on himself. He said he had drugs and wanted to be arrested. And so it happened.
On Wednesday, September 11, at approximately 10:30 p.m., city guards received a report of an intoxicated man on Łopuszańska Street who was allegedly in possession of drugs. A joint patrol, consisting of a city guard and a police officer, went to the scene.
They found a 36-year-old resident of Słupsk County there.
“The man stated that he had drugs on him, which he had bought from an unknown taxi driver, and wanted to be detained. To prove his words, he gave the officers a plastic bag containing white powder. According to him, it was supposed to be amphetamine. The plastic bag with the powder was secured, and the man was handcuffed and taken to the police station in Włochy,” the Warsaw City Guard reported.
The request was fulfilled
The police tested the contents of the bag with a drug test. It turned out that the white powder was not amphetamine, but mephedrone.
“In this situation, the officers complied with the request of the drug owner. The man was detained,” it added.
He faces up to three years in prison.
