The fisherman survived 95 days in the Pacific Ocean after a strong wind kidnapped his boat far from the shore. The Peruvian managed to survive thanks to rainwater and animals he managed to catch. On Saturday, the man saw his family for the first time in a long time.

On December 7, the Peruvian fisherman Maximo Napa got on his boat and set off on a fishing trip from the city of San Juan de Marcon. The fisherman had food supplies with him for two weeks. After ten peaceful fishing days at the shore of Peru, however, a storm started. Strong wind and high waves kidnapped the fisherman's boat far in the waters of the Pacific Ocean.

“I didn't want to die”

According to local media, the family of Pusher quickly reported his disappearance, but Peruvian sea patrols were unable to locate it. It wasn't until Wednesday that Łódź was noticed by marine guards from Ecuador. The fisherman drifted over a thousand kilometers from the mainland, he was heavily dehydrated and weakened.

“I didn't want to die,” he told journalists. – I ate cockroaches, birds, and turtles recently.

The man said that he gave him thinking about his family, including a two -month granddaughter. For the last 15 days at the sea he has not managed to find anything to eat, but he survived on the rainwater he collected on the boat. Napa was observed to the hospital in Paita, near the border with Ecuador. When his condition stabilized, he was taken to Lima, where he met his family on Saturday.
