Dariusz Brzostowicz, who took part in the Polish Motor Paragliding Championships organized at the airport in Leszno, has died. The 67-year-old national team pilot fell on a farmland near the village of Sądzia. The police are investigating the tragic accident.

An accident involving a motorized paraglider occurred on Saturday in a field near the village of Sądzia (Greater Poland Voivodeship). The man took part in the Polish Motor Paragliding Championships, which took place at the Leszno airport.

The services received a report about the accident around 10. “Despite resuscitation efforts, a 67-year-old resident of the Masovian Voivodeship died at the scene of the accident,” said the police from Leszno.

Paramotor Team Poland – The Polish National Paragliding National Team announced that the victim of the accident was national team pilot Dariusz Brzostowicz.

According to the police, for now “it is difficult to say what the causes of the tragic event were.” The circumstances of the accident are being investigated.
