Police officers from Śródmieście arrested a man suspected of setting fire to a ticket vending machine after a short chase. The incident was recorded by a bystander with a phone, and also recorded by surveillance cameras.

The man took a previously prepared Molotov cocktail from his backpack, approached the device, lit a rag fuse and threw the bottle towards the ticket machine. The 26-year-old has already been charged with destruction of property in connection with a hooligan act. He confessed. At the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office for Warszawa Śródmieście Północ, the court decided to pre-trial detention of the man for three months. He faces up to five years in prison.

The losses were estimated at one and a half thousand zlotys.
