Police officers from Ciechanów have detained a man who may be connected to an incident that took place on Monday on a street in the city center. According to the officers, an adult man pushed an 11-year-old boy off his bike and tried to pull him into a car. He was unsuccessful due to the reaction of passers-by.
– In connection with the incident, Ciechanów police detained a 38-year-old man. Further actions in this case are ongoing – said on Tuesday the spokeswoman of the District Police Headquarters in Ciechanów, cadet Magda Sakowska. She added that the man was detained on Monday evening. – The 38-year-old was detained in connection with the case – she noted.
Referring to the ongoing proceedings, the spokeswoman for the Ciechanów police stated that at this stage she could not provide detailed information about the man or the circumstances of his arrest.

Earlier, the police reported that on Monday before 9 a.m., a report was received that an unknown person had been found dead on PÅ‚ocka Street in the city center. a man knocked down an 11-year-old boy riding a bike and then tried to pull him into a car parked nearby.
– Seeing what was happening, passers-by, witnesses to the incident, reacted. The man stopped his actions, got into the car and drove away – said then cadet Sakowska. Nothing happened to the boy. – He was handed over to the care of his mother – informed the spokeswoman of the Ciechanów police.
Immediately after the incident, a search for the perpetrator began. In connection with the incident, proceedings were initiated under Article 191 of the Penal Code, which states, among other things, that anyone who, by using violence against a person or by making an unlawful threat, forces them to act in a specific way shall be subject to a penalty of imprisonment for up to 3 years.
