On the A1 motorway, in Nowa Wieś (Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship), a truck transporting waste was stopped. These included oily and leaking engines, gearboxes, bodywork and bumpers. It turned out that the driver was driving it from Great Britain to Kyrgyzstan.

The vehicle was stopped on the A1 motorway at the MOP in Nowa Wieś (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship) last Tuesday (July 11). “It was found that the load of the stopped truck was waste, i.e. oily and leaking engines, gearboxes, bodies, bumpers. Some of the elements had registration plates indicating that the vehicle from which the element was removed was not registered” – informed the Voivodship Inspectorate for Environmental Protection in Bydgoszcz.

The case will be handled by the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection

The driver did not have a complete set of documents regarding the transport of waste. Due to this, transport was considered an illegal shipment of waste. The stopped vehicle together with the waste was directed to the waste storage site designated in the voivodeship waste management plan.
