Change in health insurance premium: The amendment to the Act on health care services financed from funds introduces provisions according to which: the sale of fixed assets will not increase the calculation basis health insurance premium. The amendment also reduces the basis for calculating the contributions paid by entrepreneurs due for 2025 (or for the contribution year from February 1 to January 31, 2026). up to 75 percent minimum wage. The new regulations are to come into force January 1, 2025.
The Ministry of Finance gives the numbers: The government estimates that the change will benefit approx. 934 thousand entrepreneurs. People with the lowest income or loss are expected to save up to approx. PLN 105 per month – says Ministry of Finance. Cost the new solution for the state budget will amount to approx. PLN 945 million. “The budget for 2025 has reserved funds to compensate for the revenues to the National Health Fund, reduced after the reduction of the health insurance premium,” explains the ministry.
