Karauda said that he did not know a medic who would not feel overworked, because the entire system is based on multiple employment.

On Saturday, health care workers marched through the streets of Warsaw in protest, and then created “Białe Miasto 2.0” near the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (Chancellery of the Prime Minister). The protesters gathered in the town announce that they will stay there until their demands are fulfilled. Among other things, they are demanding higher wages and changes to the system. They want to meet the prime minister because – as they claim – the meetings with the minister of health have brought no effect.

Tomasz Karauda, a doctor of the lung diseases department of the University Teaching Hospital in Łódź, who participates in the protest of health care workers, was a guest of “Rozmowy Piasecki” on Thursday.

When asked how much time he spends at work, he said “more than home”. “I’m a guest at my own home,” he added. He has admitted that he has a feeling of being overworked. “I don’t think I know a medic who doesn’t feel like this, because the whole system is based on multi-tenure,” Karauda said.

He added that he himself has “two jobs and three contracts”. – Only that if we give a lot of money to the medics today and half of the medics say: I will not go to the third or fourth job, or even the second one, who will be admitting there? – he noticed.

Karauda, when asked if he works so much because he wants to earn more, or because there are places where he has no way out and cannot come to work, admitted that he “earns very well”. “I’m happy, I don’t want more,” he added. Karauda noted, however, that he earns a lot “at the expense of a lot of work”. – Certainly it is partly related to the fact that a man wants to earn money, he goes to a second job, but most of all it is that if I do not come to a given job, I know that another doctor has to stay the other night – he said.

“We have a sense of responsibility for our colleagues at work and the patients who are there,” he added.
