About 200 million Americans are covered by warning against heat. Alarms before the sintering, which was issued by the National Meteorological Service (NWS), relate to the north -eastern regions of the USA – from Minnesota to Maine – as well as the States Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiany and Mississippi. High temperature, threatening health and even life, is expected to stay at least until Wednesday – say local media.

Forecasts for the next days provide even more severe heat: in Philadelphia on Monday thermometers can indicate even over 42 degrees C. In New York on Monday and Tuesday, thermometers can show about 35 degrees Celsius, and in Boston and in Washington on Tuesday and Wednesday – 37.7 degrees C. At high humidity, the noticeable temperature will be even higher.
According to meteorologists, the so -called hot dome is responsible for temperatures exceeding the average for this season by about 11 degrees. It is a vast area of high pressure in the upper atmosphere, which stops heat and moisture.
Lynn Watkins, who lives in the suburbs of Madison, said that it is impossible to sit in the open air.
“I tried to sit outside on Saturday to peel, but it was so hot that I had to go inside,” she said in an interview with the portal “The Guardian”. – I hate staying outside when it is. I prefer to sit at home where air conditioning is – she added.
