The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued a warning for seven counties in the Łódź province due to heavy rainfall. A crisis management team has gathered under the chairmanship of Voivode Dorota Ryl.
These are 7 counties of the Łódź province. These are: Wieluń, Wieruszów, Sieradz, Zduńskowola, Poddębice, Łęczyca and Kutno.

The spokesman for the Łódź Voivode Tobiasz Puchalski informed that due to the forecasted weather situation, a meeting of the Voivodeship Crisis Management Team was held in Łódź under the chairmanship of the Łódź Voivode Dorota Ryl. It was attended by representatives of services from the entire region: the police, the Voivodeship State Fire Service and the 9th Łódź Territorial Defense Brigade, as well as representatives of local government authorities and units of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, PGE Dystrybucja Branch in Łódź, PGW Wody Polskie in Sieradz, Łowicz and Piotrków Trybunalski and PKP PLK SA.
The weather situation, possible threats and, above all, the preparation of emergency services for a possible rapid response in a crisis situation were discussed.
Water level rises
According to IMGW, in connection with the forecasted heavy rainfall, the water level at the Warta tributaries in the Łódź region is expected to increase to the high zone, including exceeding warning levels. The phenomenon may occur from Thursday afternoon to 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Puchalski assured that the situation in the Łódź region is being monitored by the services responsible for crisis management.
– We appeal to pay attention to warnings published on the website and in social media of the Łódź Voivodeship Office and the Voivodeship Crisis Management Centre of the Łódź Voivodeship Office – he added.
