Ukrainian attack was carried out on Monday morning, and on Thursday another tanker probably exploded fuel at the marine oil terminal in Feodosia. There are only two warehouses of this size on the Crimean Peninsula. The second one is located in Sevastopol.
Hell in Crimea. Residents complain of nausea and headaches
The volume of tanks located at the fuel base in Feodosia is 250 thousand cubic meters. On Friday, the Russian-appointed mayor Crimea Igor Tkachenko said that the fire is now under control. Emergency services continue to work until the fire is completely extinguished, Tkachenko said, quoted by the Russian-language portal The Moscow Times.
In turn, the so-called prime minister Crimea's Sergei Aksionov reported the “release of flammable materials.” He assured local residents that air quality was not a threat. However, according to The Moscow Times, residents complain of nausea and headaches. The fire covered almost three thousand square meters. Social media is full of recordings and photos showing the effects of the Ukrainian attack.
The oil terminal in Feodosia was not the first time that Ukraine was targeted
The oil terminal in Feodosia has already been attacked by Ukrainian drones several times, in November and December last year and this year – in March. It is the largest facility of this type in Crimea in terms of transshipment of petroleum products. This year, Ukraine has intensified attacks on Russian territory. The goals include, among others: plants that, according to Ukrainians, supply the Russian army.
On Thursday, Ukrainian drones attacked, among others, airport in Adygea in the Krasnodar Krai region. A few hours earlier, in the same region, near Jejsk, a fire broke out in fuel warehouses. The Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that about 400 Shahed drones were stored in Yeysk. In turn, the airport in Adygea was used by the aggressor's air force university.
