The police arrested a man who, despite not having a driving license, got behind the wheel. The 66-year-old exceeded the speed limit, gave a false name at the control, tried to escape. Finally, he bit the officer.

The driver of a Chevrolet Matiz was detained for a road control in Henryków-Urocze, who, according to the local officers, exceeded the speed limit by 32 km/h.

He wanted to run away

“The man sitting behind the wheel of the vehicle from the very beginning of the intervention tried to mislead the officer as to his identity by providing false data. He changed his mind several times as to his name and date of birth” – informs Magdalena Gąsowska, spokeswoman for the Piaseczno police in a press release.

“It quickly became clear what was the reason for this behavior. It turned out that the 66-year-old sitting behind the wheel of the vehicle should not go on the road at all, because he has not had a driving license since 2013. However, the man did not see anything negative in his behavior “At one point, he even tried to drive away, but he failed. Showing his displeasure, he pulled, kicked, and finally bit the policeman,” he adds.

The man has already been charged KPP in Piaseczno

He heard the charges

The 66-year-old was taken to the police room for detainees. The bitten police officer was not seriously injured.

The next day, the driver was charged with insulting and violating the bodily integrity of a police officer. “He will also not avoid responsibility for driving a vehicle without the required permissions and exceeding the speed limit” – Gąsowska said.

The proceedings in the case are supervised by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Piaseczno.
