‘Hero’ saves woman, 3, who fell from fifth-floor balcony in Italy | World Information

An Italian banker has been hailed a hero after miraculously catching a toddler who fell from a fifth-floor balcony in Turin. 

Mattia Aguzzi, 37, was strolling to a bakery together with his girlfriend within the metropolis centre on Saturday morning when he heard screams.

A 3-year-old woman had climbed over the ledge of her household’s fifth-floor balcony.

“I heard a person scream when he noticed the little woman leaning out on the ledge. The little woman saved leaning increasingly more and climbed over the ledge, she held on solely with two arms and her legs had been within the air,” Mr Aguzzi advised Sky24.

“I began yelling at her to remain nonetheless and to return inside however she did not hear.

“After I noticed her fall I stepped in the best way, closed my eyes and hoped that all the pieces was going to be for the very best, I blocked her by cushioning the blow and we each fell to the bottom,” he stated.

However Mr Aguzzi has refused the reward.

“Do not name me a hero. I did all the pieces so naturally. I did not consider something and tried to do what needed to be accomplished,” he stated, earlier than joking that his further weight helped him.
