Over a thousand zlotys for an admission to the amusement park for four people, several hundred zlotys for visiting the castle or tickets to the zoo – families planning holidays with children must take into account huge expenses on attractions for the youngest. How much will they pay to enter the most popular places? We check.

Holiday trips are associated with increasing expenses. Poles save money by looking for accommodation outside the centers of places popular with tourists, preparing food on their own or shortening trips. In June poll conducted by Kantar for “Fakty” TVN and TVN24, 56 percent of respondents said they intend to reduce holiday spending.

However, there are expenses that are difficult to refuse children. This includes entrance tickets to places that tempt the youngest with attractions. Below we check how much a family of four, consisting of two adults and two children, will pay for tickets.

Amusement parks – even over PLN 1,000 per day

The purchase of tickets to Energylandia in Zator for a couple of adults and two children (a discounted ticket is available to persons up to 140 cm tall) costs PLN 1,049. Two days in Energylandia will cost the same family PLN 1,974. A family with children under the age of three will pay less – a ticket for the youngest costs PLN 1. The ticket to the Bałtów Tourist Complex for babies born in 2021 and later costs the same. A family with two older children will pay PLN 634 for the comprehensive package.

For admission to the Mandoria Amusement Park in Rzgów, a 2+2 family will pay PLN 556 – buying a ticket in the park – or PLN 499 for a ticket purchased on the website. The Illusion Farm in Mościska offers a 2+2 family ticket for approx. PLN 288 and a family ticket for min. three people for the price of approx. PLN 216. Each subsequent ticket within this offer costs approx. PLN 90.

There are attractions for which we will pay a different amount depending on the day of the visit. For example, admission to Sady Klemensa in Komorów from Monday to Friday will cost PLN 218 for a family of four, and PLN 248 on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Families with children under the age of two will pay less – a ticket for the youngest then costs PLN 1.

Zoos – even PLN 260 for a 2+2 family

How much will a 2+2 family pay for entry to zoos in the largest cities in the country? PLN 100 in Warsaw and PLN 25 more in Kraków. A family ticket to the Wrocław Zoo covers a couple of adults and three children, and costs PLN 230. A family of four will have to spend PLN 260 on a visit to the zoo in the capital of Lower Silesia. At the zoo in Łódź – PLN 220. The Poznań Zoo offers a family ticket for up to six people (including up to two adults) for PLN 80 per person on weekdays and PLN 115 for weekends.

Aquaparks – even several hundred zlotys per day

Aquapark Suntago in Wręcza offers tickets to three zones. For an all-day stay in one of them, Jamango, a family of four will pay PLN 580 (less for children up to 90 cm and 120 cm tall). The same family will pay PLN 199 per day in Aquapark Wrocław, PLN 520 per day in Aquapark Reda and PLN 534 for five hours in the pool area of ​​Termy Uniejów. Terma Bania in Białka Tatrzańska offers parents with children a “family holiday”, including entry to the Fun Zone for two adults and a child for PLN 219. Admission for each additional child costs PLN 39.

Entertainment and educational centers are a bit cheaper

During holiday trips, places that combine entertainment with education are very popular among families. Among them, Hydropolis in Wrocław (a ticket for a 2+2 family for PLN 99), the Experyment Science Center in Gdynia (PLN 80), the Copernicus Science Center in Warsaw (PLN 316 for a combined ticket to exhibitions and the planetarium), the Leonardo Da Vinci Science Center in Podzamcze (PLN 24 per person as part of a family ticket; at least three people, including two adults and from one to seven children), or Lodz Science and Technology Center – Street of Elements – EC1. In the latter, prices on weekends are slightly higher than on weekdays. From Tuesday to Friday, a family of four will pay PLN 100 for admission to the exhibition, and PLN 120 on Saturdays and Sundays.

Funicular to Kasprowy Wierch, Malbork Castle and other attractions

A 2+2 family can also count on the purchase of a family ticket to monuments such as the castle in Malbork (PLN 260) or the salt mine in Wieliczka (PLN 270). Gdańsk-Westerplatte-Gdańsk PLN 280. It is worth remembering that there are attractions to which admission is paid only during the season. For example, entrance fees to the Sopot pier are charged from April to October, at specific times. The cost of a family ticket is PLN 22.
