Fires are also a result of the heat

The heat has contributed to numerous fires throughout the country. So far, the fire has consumed at least 60,000 hectares of forests and meadows, including 20,000 ha in Galicia in the northwest of the country and over 20 thousand. in Castile and Leon in the north, the government in Madrid informed, citing preliminary data. Regional authorities asked a military rescue unit for help in fighting the fire.
