Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki did not answer the question directly how many times the head of his law firm, Michał Dworczyk, met with the head of the Constitutional Tribunal, Julia Przyłębska, to discuss cases pending before the Constitutional Tribunal. He repeated the message that the e-mail scandal and the leak of correspondence from Dworczyk’s mailbox was a “Russian provocation” and accused that “various editorial offices fell into the trap of Vladimir Putin”.
The disclosed e-mail correspondence shows that the head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister Michał Dworczyk was to consult the President of the Constitutional Tribunal, Julia Przyłębska, on the actions of the Constitutional Tribunal. Dworczyk was to write to the prime minister: “Today (shortly after your interview) I visited Mrs. Julia P. I discussed three topics with the president”, that is, three different matters considered in the Constitutional Tribunal.
The prime minister did not answer directly about the “Russian provocation”
On Wednesday, at a press conference in Tarczyn, a TVN24 reporter asked the prime minister about this matter Mateusz Morawiecki. He asked how many times Michał Dworczyk met with Julia Przyłębska and talked about the matters he dealt with Constitutional Court.
The prime minister did not answer this question directly. Instead, he repeated the message of “Russian provocation”, the victim of which would be Poland.
– This is another confirmation of how various editorial offices fall into a trap, into a snare Vladimir Putin. The expert opinions confirmed by an American company specializing in cybersecurity have given us evidence that the Belarusian services, the Russian services, are behind these provocations, for breaking into politicians’ mailboxes, said the Prime Minister.
– Just like a week ago, a month ago I did not comment on the Russian provocations, and today nobody should do it. There is a very tense situation around us, there is war in Ukrainewe will see a lot more with this type of throw – he added.
The reporter repeated his question, to which the prime minister replied: – If you ask “how many times” then you must assume that the Russian provocations are real.
So the journalist asked how many times the prime minister himself met with Julia Przyłębska to discuss the cases pending before the Court. – I can see that there is an attempt to build upon these Russian provocations various theories. This is a well-known manipulation technique, I think Jerzy Urban would not be ashamed. I do not want to get involved in this type of intrigue – said Morawiecki.
