In the first round of presidential elections, women more often voted for Rafał Trzaskowski, KO candidate, and men for Karol Nawrocki, supported by PiS – although the difference is insignificant. Instead, Sławomir Mentzen from the Confederation was elected twice as often by men than by women. – Some women still seem to their partners in issues of making political choices – says TVN24+ political science prof. Dorota Piontek.
According to poll Exit Poll Ipsos for TVN24, Polsat News and TVP, 66.4 percent of women and 67.1 percent of men took part in the presidential election on May 18.
