The prosecutor’s office has completed the investigation into the tragic accident that took place near Legionowo. A young doctor died under the wheels of the car. Her partner was driving, he was drunk.
– On July 19, 2023, the District Prosecutor’s Office in Legionowo filed an indictment against Krzysztof M. – Katarzyna Skrzeczkowska, spokeswoman for the Warsaw-Praga District Prosecutor’s Office, told us.
It’s about the partner of a doctor from Legionowo, who died under the wheels of the car he was driving.
He will stand trial
The incident happened just before Christmas 2022 on Bagienna Street in Kąty Węgierskie. According to unofficial information obtained by our reporter Artur Węgrzynowicz, the couple decided to go for a drive in an off-road car to a nearby clearing at night. The car was buried in the snow.
The 33-year-old was then supposed to go home to get a second car while his 30-year-old partner stayed on. On his way back, he hit her to death. It was about two kilometers from their shared rental home.
The trial will take place in the Legion court Tomasz Zieliński, tvnwarszawa.pl
The man has been charged and will now appear in court.
– He is accused of deliberately violating the safety rules in land traffic. He was driving a Volvo car while intoxicated (0.61 mg/l of alcohol in exhaled air, i.e. about 1.3 per mille – ed.). He did not observe the road properly, did not exercise due caution and did not adjust the technique and tactics of driving and speed to the prevailing road conditions, as a result of which he hit a woman on the road on the left in the direction of the car’s travel. The injuries were fatal, the prosecutor Skrzeczkowska described.
The 33-year-old is under arrest and faces up to 12 years in prison.
