– Whether anyone likes it or not, Orban sees that the Polish Prime Minister is currently the main player in the European Union – says Prof. Bogdan Góralczyk, former diplomat, ambassador, former director of the European Centre at the University of Warsaw.
Góralczyk emphasizes that for the ruling party in Hungary, Tusk is a symbol of evil. But for the opposition – hope. – Victory Donald Tusk in Poland gave her hope. It showed that it is possible. The opposition emphasizes friendship with Poland and Poles – explains the professor.
Jacek Tacik: Trump on Orban during the debate with Kamala Harris: “One of the most respected people. Called a strong man. He is a tough person. A wise prime minister of Hungary.”
Prof. Bogdan Góralczyk: God bless America, since the candidate for President of the United States must lean on Viktor Orban. Where are we? Well, the Hungarian prime minister has already visited Trump twice at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida.
The last time – before he went to the US – he organized his “self-proclaimed peace tour”. He was in Kiev – the first time since the outbreak of the war, then – without informing Zelensky – he went to Moscow, where he met with his old friend Vladimir Putinthen to Beijing for the NATO summit, where he did not speak with Joe Bidenbut with the president of Turkey.
Who is more needed by whom now – even before the US elections: Trump by Orban or Orban by Trump?
Definitely Trump for Orban. And he needs him because in Hungary since February 10 this year there has been a strong opposition led by Peter Magyar. His party TISZA (Respect and Freedom – ed.) achieved a good result in the European elections, which – as in Poland – took place on June 9.
