This season, the city will launch 15 ice rinks in 12 districts. Some are free. Four slides – in Mokotów, Targówek, Ursynów and Wawer – are already in operation. According to the capital city hall, an ice rink in the Old Town Square will be opened on Saturday, with a completely new structure.
Ice skating fans will be open throughout the winter in the following districts: Bemowo, Ursus, Wawer, Targówek, Wesoła, Ochota, Białołęka, Wilanów, Mokotów, Wola, Śródmieście, and Żoliborz.
According to the capital city hall, entry to the ice rinks in Bemowo, Ursus, Wesoła, Śródmieście and Żoliborz is free. In other districts, prices range from 5 to 11 zlotys per hour. If you want to take advantage of the city’s offer, you do not need your own equipment – there will be skate rentals at each ice rink.
Ice rink in the Old Town with a new construction
On Saturday, an ice rink in the Old Town Square with a completely new structure will be opened. Modern, energy-saving solutions have been used, thanks to which electricity and water consumption will be much lower – emphasizes the town hall.
He also informs that due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, sanitary restrictions are in force on the city’s ice rinks. During the entire stay in the ice rink hall, you should keep a social distance of at least 1.5 meters, wear a mask covering the mouth and nose, and disinfect your hands.
