There are many applications for operational control submitted to the courts. There were applications regarding politicians in power at that time, opposition politicians, lawyers, judges and various criminals – said Igor Tuleya, judge of the District Court in Warsaw, in “One on One” on TVN24.

Igor Tuleya was asked in “One on One” about his words in an interview for “Rzeczpospolita” that it was “very likely” that he gave consent to the use of Pegasus.

He said that the legal regulations allow the services to conduct operational control. – They submit an application to the court, such an application is previously accepted by the deputy prosecutor general and, if the court consents, it indicates the period during which operational control, for example wiretapping, may be used – he added.

– However, if the services used spy systems such as Pegasus, they violated the law – he said.

As he said, “there were applications regarding politicians in power at the time, opposition politicians, lawyers, judges and various criminals, but I cannot indicate specifically who these types of applications concerned.”
