A small, black mongrel was stolen from the owner’s allotment gardens in Iława (Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship). According to the police, a 29-year-old man was behind the theft, taking advantage of the moment when the owner of the dog left him unattended for a while. The man was fined PLN 500.

As the senior aspirant Joanna Kwiatkowska, press officer of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Iława, informed, the incident took place on Thursday (February 9) in the afternoon in one of the allotment gardens in Iława. One of the townspeople stayed there with his puppy.

According to the police, the man left the plot for a while, leaving the dog there. He was supposed to go home to fetch water for the dog. When he returned, the animal was gone. – Convinced that the dog could not leave this place on his own, he notified the duty officer of the Iława command about the suspected theft – Kwiatkowska reports.

The 29-year-old was fined PLN 500 for the offense committed.
