Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued a threat forecast for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Heavy rain is possible in the south of the country on Monday. IMGW plans to issue first level warnings for the following provinces: Silesian (districts: Cieszyn, Bielski, Bielsko-BialaŻywiec), Lesser Poland (districts: Sucha, Myślenice, Nowy Targ, Tatrzański, Limanowski, Nowy Sącz, Nowy SaczGorlice) i Subcarpathian (districts: Jasło, Krosno, loomBrzozowski, Sanok, Lesko, Bieszczady).

The next day in southern Poland is also expected to rain heavily. First degree alerts will therefore probably apply in the province. Lesser Poland (districts: Tatrzański, Nowy Targ, Limanowski, Nowy Sącz, Nowy Sącz, Gorlice) and Subcarpathian (districts: Jasielski, Krosno, Krosno, Brzozowski, Sanok, Lesko, Bieszczady, Przemyśl, Industry).
Frost is expected to return on Tuesday. Level 1 warnings may apply in the following provinces: Silesian (districts: Cieszyn, Bielski, Bielsko-Biała, Żywiec), Lesser Poland and Subcarpathian (districts: Jasielski, Krosno, Krosno, Brzozowski, Sanok, Lesko, Bieszczady).
Ice may also occur in the south of the country. IMGW forecasters plan to issue first-level alerts for the following provinces: Silesian (districts: Cieszyn, Bielski, Bielsko-Biała, Żywiec), Lesser Poland and Subcarpathian (districts: Jasielski, Krosno, Krosno, Brzozowski, Sanok, Lesko, Bieszczady).

Wednesday will bring frost most likely to a much larger area of Poland. The associated first degree warnings may apply in the following provinces: warmińsko-mazurskie, Podlaskie, mazowieckie, Lublin, Świętokrzyskie, Subcarpathian, Lesser Poland, Silesianas well as in the southern poviats of the province Lower Silesia.

On the following day, the first degree alerts against frost should apply in the following provinces: West Pomeranian, Pomeranian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, warmińsko-mazurskie, Podlaskie, Lublinas well as in the southern poviats of the following voivodeships: Silesian, Lesser Poland and Subcarpathian.

What is the first degree IMGW meteorological warning
The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life.
