IMGW forecasters warn six regions against dangerous weather. First degree freezing precipitation alerts are in effect. Check where the weather will take its toll.

The weather forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first degree warnings.

IMGW alerts – freezing precipitation

Alarms IMGW of the first degree against freezing precipitation apply in the following voivodeships:

warmińsko-mazurskiein the districts: Braniewo, Elbląg, Elbląg;

Kuyavian-Pomeranianin the counties: Tuchola, Świecie, Grudziądz, GrudziadzWąbrzeźno, Sępólno, Bydgoszcz, BydgoszczNakło, Chełmno;

Greater Polandin the counties: Złotów, Piła, Chodzież, Czarnków-Trzcianecki;

Lubuskiein the districts: Strzelecko-Drezdenko, Gorzów, Gorzow Wielkopolski.

Light freezing rain or drizzle causing black ice is forecast in places.

IMGW alerts in the province Zachodniopomorskie, Pomorskie and Warmińsko-Mazurskie will be valid until 9 on Friday. In the rest of the country, they will come into force at 1 and will remain in effect until 10 on Friday.

What is the first degree IMGW meteorological warning

The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life. Running a business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from activities in the area where the threat occurs, including delays caused by traffic obstructions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution recommended, the need to follow messages and weather developments.
