IMGW forecasters warn of dangerous weather conditions. Frost and thaw alerts are in effect. Check where the aura will be dangerous to life and health.

Forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued first degree weather warnings.

IMGW meteorological warnings – ground frost

First-degree frost warnings have been issued in the following voivodeships:

warmińsko-mazurskiein the east of the voivodship;

mazowieckiein eastern poviats;

Świętokrzyskiein the east of the voivodship;

Lesser Polandin almost the entire province except for the north-west.

In these areas, the air temperature is forecast to drop below 0 degrees Celsius at night. Alerts will be valid until Thursday until 8 am, only in foothill areas – until 8 pm. 10.

IMGW meteorological warnings – thaws

First degree IMGW alerts against thaws were issued in the following voivodeships:

Lower Silesiain the counties: Lubański, Lwówek, Jelenia GoraKarkonosze;

Silesianin the counties: Cieszyn, Bielsko, Żywiec;

Lesser Polandin the following poviats: Suski, Nowy Targ, Tatrzański, Limanowski, Nowy Sącz;

Subcarpathianin the counties of Sanok, Lesko and Bieszczady.

In Lower Silesia, an increase in air temperature is forecast, causing a thaw and melting of the snow cover in the mountains and foothill regions, where the minimum temperature will be 1-4 degrees C, and the maximum temperature will be 7-11 degrees C. The sum of rainfall will reach approx. -10 liters of water per square meter. The wind will blow with an average speed of 20-35 km / h, with gusts up to 60 km / h. The alerts will be valid for 24 hours from midnight Wednesday night to Thursday night.

In Silesia and Małopolska, thermometers will show a maximum of 7-11 degrees C, and a minimum of 2-6 degrees C. The sum of precipitation and wind speed will be similar to those in Lower Silesia. The warnings will be in effect from 10 a.m. on Thursday until 8 on Friday.

In turn, in Podkarpacie, thermometers will indicate a maximum of 5-8 degrees C, and a minimum of 2-5 degrees C. It rains and blows at a similar speed as in other regions. These warnings will be in effect from 12 noon on Thursday until 8 on Friday.

What is the first degree IMGW meteorological warning

The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life. Running a business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from carrying out activities in the area of ​​​​threat, including delays caused by traffic obstructions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution recommended, the need to follow messages and weather developments.
