Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first and second degree meteorological warnings on a three-stage, ascending scale.
IMGW alerts of the second degree – heat
Second degree heat warnings are in force in the following provinces: Lubuskie (in the Wschowa county), Greater Poland (except northern poviats), Kuyavian-Pomeranian (except northern poviats), warmińsko-mazurskie (except north-western poviats), Podlaskie, mazowieckie, Lublin, Świętokrzyskie, Lodz, Opole, Lower Silesia (except for southern poviats), Silesian (outside the Żywiec poviat), Lesser Poland (except for the following poviats: Tatrzański, Nowy Targ, Nowy Sącz, Nowy SaczGorlice) and Subcarpathian (except for the following poviats: Jasło, Krosno, loomSanok, Lesko, Bieszczady).

Heat warnings have been issued for some places. These apply in the following provinces: Silesian (Żywiec county), Lesser Poland (districts: Nowy Targ, Nowy Sącz, Nowy Sącz, Gorlice) i Subcarpathian (districts: Jasielski, Krosno, Krosno, Sanok, Lesko, Bieszczady).

The highest temperature is forecast in northern half Mazowieckie Voivodeshipwhere it will be a maximum of 30 to 34-35 degrees C. At night, thermometers will show from 18 to 21 degrees C. Alerts will be valid until 7 pm on Thursday.

Lodz, as well as in the eastern half of the province. in Opole, Silesia, Lesser Poland and the Holy Cross Region warnings will be in effect until 18 on Wednesday, in the eastern half province of Lodz and in the southern half Mazowsze and the Lublin region will be valid until 17 on Thursday, while in the province. Podkarpackie will remain in force until 18 on Friday. in Pomerania will expire at 20 on Wednesday.

They may appear in some parts of the country storms with hail. First degree warnings have been issued for the following provinces:
– West Pomeranianin north-eastern poviats;
– Pomeranianfor poviats: Słupsk, SlupskLębork, Wejherowo.;
Thunderstorms are forecast, which in places will be accompanied by rainfall with a total of 15 to 25 liters of water per square meter, locally in the Szczecin Lowland up to 30 l / sq m, and wind gusts up to 70-75 kilometers per hour. Hail will fall in some places.
Alerts will be valid until 10.30 on Wednesday.

The first degree warning predicts the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena causing large material losses and a threat to health and life.
