IMGW issued first and second degree warnings against heat and thunderstorms with hail. Most of the country has been alerted. During discharges, up to 45 liters of rain per square meter may fall, and wind gusts will accelerate to 90 kilometers per hour.

IMGW alerts of the second degree – thunderstorms with hail

Second-level hailstorm alerts have been issued for the following provinces:

Lesser Polandcounties: Nowy Sącz, Nowy SaczGorlice;

Subcarpathianexcluding the counties of Mielec, Tarnobrzeg and Tarnobrzeg;

Lublincounties: Chełmski, ChelmnHrubieszów, Tomaszów, Zamość, ZamośćBiłgoraj, Krasnystaw, Janów.

Thunderstorms are forecast, which in places will be accompanied by very heavy rainfall with a total of 35-45 liters of water per square meter, and wind gusts up to 90 kilometers per hour. Hail will appear in places.

The warnings will be valid from 2-8pm on Monday.

Second degree heat warnings are in force in the following provinces:

Pomeranianin the counties: Nowy Dwór, Malbork, Sztum, Kwidzyn;

Kuyavian-Pomeranianoutside the counties: Tuchola, Sępólno;

Greater Polandoutside the counties: Złotów, Czarnków-Trzcianecki, Piła;

Lubuskieoutside the counties: Gorzów, Gorzow WielkopolskiStrzelecko-Dresdenki;

Lower Silesiaoutside the southern counties;

Silesianwith the exception of the Żywiec poviat;

Lesser Polandwith the exception of the Nowy Targ and Tatrzański poviats;

Subcarpathianwith the exception of Lesko and Bieszczady poviats.

The maximum temperature on Monday will be around 30 degrees Celsius. In most areas, the minimum temperature at night will reach 18 to 20 degrees Celsius.

The alerts will remain in effect until 8 p.m. on Monday.

IMGW alerts of the first degree – heat

Yellow heat alerts have been issued for the province Subcarpathian, for the districts of Lesko and Bieszczady. In these places, thermometers will indicate a maximum of 29 to 31 degrees C, and at night – a minimum of 15 to 17 degrees C.

Alerts will be in effect until 20 on Monday.

First degree hail storm warnings have been issued for the following provinces:

Lesser Polandexcluding the following poviats: Mielecki, Tarnobrzeg and Tarnobrzeg;

of Lower Silesiafor poviats located in the south-east;

of Lodzexcluding north-western poviats;

mazowieckieexcluding northern and north-western poviats;

Subcarpathianexcluding the counties of Mielec, Tarnobrzeg and Tarnobrzeg;

Lublinfor northern and central poviats;

Podlaskiefor poviats located in the south.

Thunderstorms are forecast, which in some places will be accompanied by rainfall up to 25-35 l/sqm. and wind gusts up to 70, locally up to 85 km/h. Hail will fall in places.

Alerts will generally be in effect until 18 on Monday. Only in the Opolskie Voivodeship they will be in force until 11 on Monday, in the Opolskie Voivodeship until 14 on Monday, and in the Silesian Voivodeship until 15 on Monday.

The second degree warning predicts the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena causing large material losses and a threat to health and life. Dangerous phenomena or the effects of their occurrence strongly limit the conduct of business. Expect disruptions in daily functioning. Great caution is recommended, the need to follow messages and the development of the weather situation. Follow all instructions issued by the emergency services in an emergency. Adapt your plans to weather conditions.

The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life. Running a business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous.
