The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management warns against heavy rainfall in the east of the country. Alerts are in force in five provinces. Heavy rain is possible in some regions throughout Saturday.
Forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued weather warnings.
IMGW alerts – heavy rainfall
First degree warnings against heavy rainfall are in force in the following provinces:
– warmińsko-mazurskiein the counties of: Bartoszyce, Kętrzyn, Węgorzewo, Gołdap, Olecki, Ełk, Giżycki, Mrągowo, Pisz, Szczytno;
– Subcarpathianin the districts of: Stalowowolski, Leżajsk, Łańcut, Przeworski, Lubaczów, Jarosław, Przemyśl, IndustryJarosław, Lesko.
Moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast. Precipitation is expected to range from 30 to 45 liters of water per square meter.
In the Lublin region and Podkarpacie, the alerts will be valid until 10 am on Saturday, while in other regions they will expire at 10 am. 20 on the same day.
What is the first degree IMGW meteorological warning
The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life. Running a business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from activities in the area where the threat occurs, including delays caused by traffic obstructions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution recommended, the need to follow messages and weather developments.
