IMGW warns against heavy rainfall in the southern districts of the MaĆopolskie and Podkarpackie voivodships. There may be heavy rain throughout Tuesday in some places.
Forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued weather warnings.
IMGW alerts – heavy rainfall
First degree heavy rainfall warnings have been issued for the following provinces:
– Lesser Polandfor poviats: Tatra, Nowy Targ, Nowy SÄ cz, Nowy SaczGorlice;
– Subcarpathianfor the counties: Bieszczady, Lesko, Sanok, Krosno, loomJasĆo.
Moderate rainfall is forecast, with periods of heavy rainfall, with a total of 25 to 40 liters of water per square meter.
In MaĆopolska, the alerts will come into force at midnight and will be valid until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, while in Podkarpacie, they will come into force at 1 p.m. 1-2 on Tuesday and will expire at 19-21 on the same day.

What is the first degree IMGW meteorological warning
The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life. Running a business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from activities in the area where the threat occurs, including delays caused by traffic obstructions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution recommended, the need to follow messages and weather developments.
