IMGW has issued first degree alerts. Frost and downpours are still a threat, and there are also thunderstorm alerts in places. Check where the weather will be dangerous to life and health.

Forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued first level warnings.

IMGW alerts – heavy rainfall

Heavy rain alerts are in effect in the following provinces:

Silesianin southern counties, where warnings will be valid until 11 am on Wednesday;

Lesser Poland, in all counties except those located in the north of the region, where the alerts will be in force until 13 on Wednesday;

Subcarpathian, in poviats located in the west of the region, where the alarms will be in effect until 13 on Wednesday;

Lublin, in Janów and Biłgoraj districts, where the alerts will expire at 15 on Wednesday.

Moderate rainfall is forecast, with heavy periods with a total of 30 to 40 liters of water per square meter. are also possible storms.

IMGW alerts – frost

Temperatures may drop below freezing in parts of the country. Yellow alerts against frost have been issued in the following provinces:

Lower Silesiain southern poviats;

Podlaskiein northern poviats;

mazowieckiein northern poviats;

Kuyavian-Pomeranianin poviats located in the northern half of the region;

Pomeranianin central, southern and north-western poviats;

West Pomeranianexcept for poviats located in the north and west of the region;

Greater Polandin northern poviats;

Lubuskiein northern counties.

A decrease in air temperature from 0 to 2 degrees Celsius is forecast, at the ground to about -2 degrees Celsius, locally lower.

The warnings will be in effect from 1am to 6.30am on Wednesday.

IMGW alerts – storms

IMGW has also issued storm warnings. Valid in the province Lublinspecifically in the northern and central poviats.

Thunderstorms are forecast, which in some places will be accompanied by heavy rainfall in places up to 25 l / sq m. and wind gusts up to 65 km/h.
