Heavy rainfall is heading over Poland. Heavy rain will start in the south of the country on Sunday evening. IMGW has issued a warning for mountain areas.

Than Benedict at the beginning of the week will cause a breakdown of the weather in Poland. There will be downpours that are already occurring south of our country. Most of the rain is expected to fall in the mountains. Forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued weather warnings on Sunday.

IMGW alerts – heavy rainfall

First degree IMGW alerts against heavy rainfall have been issued for the following provinces:

Lower Silesiafor poviats: Karkonosze, Jelenia GoraKamienna Góra, Wałbrzych, WałbrzychKłodzko;

Lesser Polandfor the Tatra poviat.

Moderate rainfall with a total of 30 to 35 liters of water per square meter is forecast.

Alerts will be valid from 21:00 on Sunday until 12:00. 12 on Monday.

The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life.
