IMGW alerts – heavy rainfall. Third degree warnings in one province

IMWM raised the level of warnings related to heavy rainfall to the highest level in several poviats of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. Pre-rain alerts are valid for a total of four provinces.

Synoptics of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management have published meteorological warnings of the third, second and first degree on a three-degree increasing scale.

Third degree IMGW alerts – heavy rainfall

Third degree warnings against heavy rainfall are in force in the province Warmia-Masuria Provincein the poviats: gołdapski, olecki and ełcki.

Rainfall is forecast of moderate and heavy intensity. The projected amount of rainfall will be between 90 and 120 liters of water per square meter. As explained in the announcement, the change in the level of warning is due to “high amounts of rainfall at the telemetry station in Gołdap, where 68 l / sq m dropped from 9:00 to 20:00.” It added that further heavy rainfall is expected and that Locally, the total rainfall may reach 120 l / sq. M.

The warnings will expire at 3pm on Wednesday.

Second degree IMGW alerts – heavy rainfall

Second degree warnings against heavy rainfall were issued for voivodships:

Warmia-Masuria Provincefor the poviats: Węgorzewski, Giżycki and Pisz.

Moderate and heavy rainfall is expected there. The projected amount of rainfall is up to 60 liters per square meter. The warnings will be valid until 15 on Wednesday.

First degree IMGW alerts – heavy rainfall

The lowest level warnings against heavy rainfall were issued for the following voivodeships:

Warmia-Masuria Provincefor the poviats: Kętrzyński, Mrągowski, Szczycieński;

Masovianfor poviats: Ostrołęka, OstrołękaOstrów, Sokołów, Łosice, Siedlce, Siedlce;

Lublinwith the exception of the following poviats: Rycki, Puławy, Opole, Kraśnik.

In these places rainfall is forecast of moderate intensity, with strong periods. Forecasted amount of precipitation – up to 30 l / sq m. The warnings will expire at 15 on Wednesday.
