IMGW alerts. Icy ice, freezing rain. Slippery roads on Friday. Weather in Epiphany 2023

The roads will be slippery on Friday. IMGW has issued warnings against freezing rain in the north of Poland. Black ice is possible in some regions until the evening hours.

Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first degree meteorological warnings.

IMGW alerts – freezing precipitation

Yellow alerts IMGW are valid in the following provinces:

West Pomeranianin the poviats: Szczecinek, Drawski, Wałecki;

Kuyavian-Pomeranianin the counties of: Nakło, Sępólno, Tuchola, Świecie, Bydgoszcz, Toruń, Chełmno, Grudziądz, GrudziadzWąbrzeźno and Brodnica.

Light freezing rain is forecast in places causing black ice.

Warnings in Western Pomerania will be valid until 15 on Friday, and in the region of Pomerania and Kujawy will expire at. 19 on the same day.

What is the first degree IMGW meteorological warning

The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life. Running a business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from activities in the area where the threat occurs, including delays caused by traffic obstructions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution recommended, the need to follow messages and weather developments.
