It rains heavily on Friday in the south of Poland. Several provinces have been warned by the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management against heavy rainfall. Due to the expected increase in water levels in rivers, synoptics also issued hydrological warnings.

Hydrological warnings from Friday morning are valid throughout the voivodeship Lesser Poland and in most voivodships: Podkarpackie, Silesian and Świętokrzyskie. In Silesia, the alarms will expire at 3 p.m. on Friday, in Małopolska and in the Świętokrzyskie Region at 18 on Friday, and in Podkarpacie at 8 on Saturday.
According to the IMWM statement, “increases in the water level are possible there, locally to the zone of high levels. On smaller rivers, the increases may be rapid. In places of particularly intense rainfall, there is a possibility of exceeding warning states in points”.
On Friday afternoon, warnings were also issued for the entire area of the province. Pomeranian and the north-eastern part of the province. Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. Alarms will expire at midnight from Friday to Saturday.
Here, the announcement reads, “rapid increases in water levels and flooding may occur in smaller rivers and in urbanized catchments. In controlled catchments, in the event of particularly intense rainfall, it is possible to exceed high levels”.
